Alternating Proprietorships
Napa Wine Company is host to 24 alternating proprietors, Click
here for more information. Producers who plan to make
wine for commercial purposes, but are not interested
in or are in the process of building or buying a winery
of their own, our facility can be the “host” winery
for their bonded premises. We are one of the very
few that the TTB (Department of the Treasury, Alcohol
and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau) has allowed this
number of alternating proprietors – companies
with their own bond who share our production facility.
Many of the “Cult
Wines” today are or have been Alternating Proprietors at Napa
Wine Company.
“We have enjoyed and appreciated our relationship with the Napa
Wine Company since our first crush with them in 1994. The Alternating
Proprietorship, pioneered by the Napa Wine Company, is a perfectly matched
program for a small grower/producer such as Lamborn. We have the
benefit of the finest equipment, a talented and team-oriented operating
staff, who have always provided the Lamborn's & winemaker Heidi
Barrett, with support & attention to every detail. How many
other 1700 case a year wine producers have the luxury of a tasting room
on highway 29? ….or for that matter, a helpful, friendly staff
of dozens of people? It just doesn’t get any better! Thanks
NWC.”
